Welcome to the critically acclaimed stealth/action seris where the world is your weapon. You play the feared assassin known as Agent 47. You are hired to take out terrorists, crime lords, or heads of evil corporations, you name it. The best part is nobody tells you how to do the deed, you can figure that out yourself. There are dozens of ways to take out your targets. From a well placed sniper rifle bullet, disguising youself as a gaurd to push them off of a building, or even a rubber ducky filed with explosives. The maps are massive and filled with endless possibilites for you to master. Sometimes you might need a guide to get you through all of this, and thats where this website comes in.
Planning a mission is just the set up before a mission begins. This can affect where you start, what weapons you use, and where smuggled items are placed. You can unlock more options and items the more you play a mission. Usualy your fist time doing a mission you can't change much because you don't have anything unlocked, but what you can select is the difficulty.

Here is a more in depth explanation of the difficulties.
Stealth is the thing that drives HITMAN and what you need to get missions done. You can subdue people to knock them out but make sure you hide them so nobody suspects something. If they see you knock them out then you have an unconscious witness. Sure you could kill them but killing non-targets heavily decreases score. You can climb up pipes and through windows to traverse the map.
Disguses are a key compont to HITMAN. Certain disguises can get you in certain places. You can disguise as a body gaurd to get close to a target, cook to poision food, and even a mascot flamingo to deliver intel. No matter how you use them just look out for closers.
Closers are NPCs can recognize you through your disguise after a short while. Try to stay out of their line of site, knock them out, or wear a disguise they won't recognize you in.
Items are what you use to complete your task. Some items can be weapons such as your silenced pistol that doesn't make a sound when you shoot or rat poison that you can put in food so it makes them need to go to the bathroom. Some items you need to gain access to certain things. This includes wrenches can sabotage gas canisters so they can explode and keycards that enemies drop. You can choose to have the agency you work for place items such as sniper rifles or explosives in a briefcase at a location you choose.
Be careful NPCs will get suspicious if your carrying an illegal item with the wrong disguise.
Here is a list of items, their uses, and what disguese you can use them in.
Mission stories are optional missions that can help you get through the missions. The game guides you as you find information on certain locations and meeting the target will be at so you can get them in to open. You can even disguise as the person they are supposed to meet with also. You unlock more mission stories the more you explore and intel you find.
Intel is a smaller but usefull part of Hitman 2. It can be found on notes and you can eavesdrop in on conversations. It can give you opertunities to unlock mission stories or items. All of your intel is easily accessible through the menu.
